‘Fairlington Moments’ Program

About ‘Fairlington Moments’

‘Fairlington Moments’ is an effort to collect short stories of Fairlington life, memories, and reminiscences. These are highly individual, and can be about any element or experience of life in the community. A few examples:

  • You lived in Fairlington many years ago… but recently visited…
  • Notable weather events and how you coped… snow storms, hurricanes, etc.
  • Moving in… and moving out days
  • Unforgettable neighbors
  • Bus stop friends and car pool characters
  • Summer days at poolside
  • Tennis friends and events
  • Etc.

The FHS welcomes all of your stories and memories about Fairlington life. We suggest one-three pages as the best in length.

What Happens to Your ‘Fairlington Moments’?

Contributions are reviewed by the VOF Committee, and highlights will be shared with the community through its newsletters and on this website beginning in the spring 2006.

All submissions become the property of the FHS archive, the Fairlington Collection, located in the Virginia Room at the Arlington County Public Library where they will be available for current and future historians and researchers.
